Pokemon Scarlet opened Gen 9 in 2022 with the first fully open-world mainline Pokemon experience. The Pokemon Scarlet Pokedex, the Paldea Pokedex, has 400+ entries including 120 brand-new Pokemon. Koraidon, the Pokemon Scarlet cover legendary, also doubles as your traversal mount. The Paldea region is Pokemon's first go-anywhere-in-any-order structure.

Three Paths in Pokemon Scarlet

Pokemon Scarlet's three main storylines run in parallel. Path of Legends sends you after Titan Pokemon. Victory Road is the traditional eight-gym loop. Starfall Street targets Team Star's color-coded bases. Finishing all three opens Area Zero and the final story.

Pokemon Scarlet Paradox Pokemon

Pokemon Scarlet exclusive Paradox Pokemon are ancient forms of existing species, like Great Tusk (Paradox Donphan), Scream Tail (Paradox Jigglypuff), Flutter Mane (Paradox Misdreavus), and Roaring Moon (Paradox Salamence). Pokemon Violet gets the futuristic Paradox variants.

A complete Pokemon Scarlet pokedex includes the base Paldea dex, the Teal Mask Kitakami dex, and the Indigo Disk Blueberry dex.
