About Pokemon HeartGold
Pokemon HeartGold is the 2009 and 2010 Johto remake on the DS. The Pokemon HeartGold Pokedex carries over the 251 Johto and Kanto entries from the original Pokemon Gold, with updated sprites, 3D battle backgrounds, and animated Pokemon models. The Pokemon HeartGold Pokewalker accessory lets you take any Pokemon for walks in real life to earn experience and items.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are the only modern Pokemon games where your lead Pokemon follows you around the overworld, just like in Pokemon Yellow with Pikachu. Every Pokemon has a unique idle animation.

A complete Pokemon HeartGold pokedex covers all 251 Johto and Kanto Pokemon with modernized access. The Safari Zone near Cianwood has modular area swaps that let you tune what Pokemon appear.
