Pokemon Emerald is the Gen 3 expanded version. The Pokemon Emerald Pokedex matches Ruby and Sapphire's Hoenn list but changes the order of events: both Magma and Aqua appear, Rayquaza takes the spotlight, and the Battle Frontier opens post-game. Every Pokemon Emerald catchable mon is listed below in Hoenn dex order.
About Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Emerald is the Gen 3 expanded version and the follow-up to Ruby and Sapphire. The Pokemon Emerald Pokedex has the same Hoenn list as Ruby and Sapphire but is rebalanced: both Groudon and Kyogre appear in the main story, Rayquaza gets a bigger role, and the post-game Battle Frontier opens up seven themed facilities for high-level trainers.
Pokemon Emerald Battle Frontier
The Pokemon Emerald Battle Frontier is one of the most beloved post-game experiences in the entire series. Seven facilities (Battle Tower, Battle Dome, Battle Palace, Battle Arena, Battle Factory, Battle Pike, Battle Pyramid) each have their own gimmick and Frontier Brains. Many fans consider Pokemon Emerald the peak post-game Pokemon game.
Completing the Pokemon Emerald Pokedex
The Pokemon Emerald pokedex combines Ruby and Sapphire version exclusives. Emerald also lets you encounter both Regirock/Regice/Registeel and Deoxys via event. Trading with FireRed and LeafGreen is still required for full 386-Pokemon completion across the Gen 3 pokedex.
