Pokemon Colosseum is the GameCube side game set in Orre, a desert region. The Pokemon Colosseum Pokedex is limited: you don't catch wild Pokemon the normal way, you snag Shadow Pokemon from other trainers and purify them. Entry count is much smaller than a mainline game. Full Pokemon Colosseum pokedex below.
About Pokemon Colosseum
Pokemon Colosseum is the 2003 Nintendo GameCube side game set in the desert Orre region. The Pokemon Colosseum Pokedex is much smaller than mainline Pokemon games because you do not catch wild Pokemon. Instead, you snag Shadow Pokemon, which are Pokemon whose hearts have been artificially closed, from other trainers.
Snagging Shadow Pokemon in Pokemon Colosseum
The Pokemon Colosseum Snag Machine, worn on your arm, lets you steal Pokemon mid-battle. Pokemon Colosseum is the only mainline-connected Pokemon game where stealing from trainers is the central mechanic. Once snagged, Shadow Pokemon must be purified at the Relic Stone or through bond-building with your party.
Completing the Pokemon Colosseum Pokedex
A complete Pokemon Colosseum pokedex run involves snagging every Shadow Pokemon across the main story. Linking to Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire lets you transfer purified Pokemon Colosseum Pokemon into the mainline GBA games, which was a huge deal for trainers trying to fill out their Gen 3 national dex.
