Getting Started

What is Pokepedia.com?

Pokepedia.com is a free online Pokedex and Pokemon tracker. It covers every Pokemon from Kanto to the latest generation. You can browse the full National Pokedex, look up detailed info on any Pokemon, generate random Pokemon, and track what you've caught across every mainline game. Everything runs in your browser. No account needed, no data sent anywhere. Your Pokedex, your device, your rules.

Step 1

Go to pokepedia.com in any modern browser. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all work. The homepage gives you access to the Pokedex, the Random Pokemon generator, and the Tracker right away.

Step 2

The Pokedex at pokepedia.com/pokedex lists every Pokemon as a card with its sprite, name, number, and type. You can search by name or number, filter by type, game, or evolution stage, and sort by number or name.

Step 3

Click any card to open that Pokemon's detail page. You get base stats, the evolution chain, type matchups, alternate forms, game-specific sprites, encounter locations, and how it learns its moves.

Step 4

The Random Pokemon page lets you generate a single Pokemon or a full team of six. Filter by generation, region, type, rarity, or evolution stage to control what gets picked.

Step 5

The Tracker lets you log every Pokemon you've caught across every game. Mark catches, track shinies, add notes, and watch your progress build up. Your data saves automatically in your browser and you can back it up anytime with the export feature.

Pokepedia.com is built for casual fans, collectors, shiny hunters, and people just getting into Pokemon. Everything is free. No login, no paywall, nothing held back.
