Browsing the Pokedex

How does pagination work in the Pokedex?

The Pokedex uses pagination. Instead of loading every Pokemon at once, it shows a set per page with navigation buttons at the bottom. Pagination works with all active filters and sorting.

Step 1

Go to pokepedia.com/pokedex and scroll to the bottom of the grid. That's where the pagination controls are.

Step 2

You'll see "Page X of Y" showing your current position. The total changes based on your active filters and search.

Step 3

Click "Next" to go forward a page. Click "Previous" to go back. Previous is disabled on page 1. Next is disabled on the last page.

Step 4

Pagination respects your filters and sort order. If you have filters active, the pages only contain matching Pokemon. Changing a filter resets you to page 1.

Step 5

If you're looking for a specific Pokemon, search is faster than paging through. The search bar takes you right to it.

Page by page for browsing, search for finding. Both work together with whatever filters you have active.
